Excerpts from two paid obituary notices seem especially timely, given that they ran in The Times during Thanksgiving week:
Florence “Flossie” Fingerman, 89, “made the best brisket and latkes ever — and always looked good doing it.”
Dr. Robert J. Kositchek’s notice closes with a quote that appears to have defined his outlook: “How Lucky Can One Guy Be.” He was 96.
