According to AAA, about 34.9 million Americans traveled 50 miles or more from home over Memorial Day weekend, with a whopping 30.9 million going by car despite high gasoline prices. Translation, says writer Alene Dawson: we Americans love our road trips.
Memorial Day kicks off summer vacation season, and over the next couple of months many of us will be packing up to take a plane, train, ship or automobile somewhere. To help keep it relaxing, pack your beauty products efficiently by considering travel minis -- small-sized products that don’t take up much room but deliver the comforts of your home grooming routine.
For fun you might consider tucking them into a travel bag that matches the vacation theme. Consider: The U.S. interstate highway system has 30,184 miles of rural highway and 16,818 in urban highways -– and the colorful Debbie Jo Designs Road Trip Makeup Bag made of handcut and laminated pieces of road maps will get you in the mood to explore them. It’s available online at etsy.com as a makeup bag for $32 or a clutch for $44.
