Your morning adorable: Ring-tailed lemurs

Ring-tailed lemurs Louis, Hedley and Dorothy were fascinated when a cardboard box blew into their cage at Spring River Zoo in Roswell, N.M., on Wednesday during a windstorm.

The word ‘lemur’ is derived from a Latin word that translates to ‘spirit of the night’ or ‘ghost.’ Ring-tailed lemurs live in groups called troops, which can consist of up to 30 animals. The troops are matriarchal -- a common trait among lemur species but uncommon among primates in general.
