The computer pointed to a couple of bombs during the day. First it came up with Recoil, who went off at 17-1, on top in the 7th. Recoil finished third to pay $8.20.

But the real eye-opener was in the eighth race. Another testament to speed -- the computer’s top speed score went off at a ridiculous 74-1 but finished third to pay $17 show money.
