There’s still about a million Tesoro fans in the visitors’ bleachers, and for good reason. Ferras Albitar scored from one yard with 22 seconds left and the Titans came away with a 28-24 victory over 16th-ranked Mission Viejo.
The victory ends the Diablos’ seven-year reign atop the South Coast League and ended a 39-game unbeaten streak that dated to 1999.
‘There’s going to be a big party in Tesoro-land,’ said first year Coach Brian Barnes.
With the league championship in hand, can you blame them?
