Let’s just say that a couple private schools are having a good off-season when it comes to transfer students.
Orange Lutheran certainly improved itself with seven new players, but Mater Dei got a badly needed receiver in 6-foot-3 Justin Martinez, a transfer from Trinity League rival St. John Bosco.
And Encino Crespi should be getting big help from running back-linebacker Khalil Bass, a 6-1, 215-pound transfer from Sun Valley Village Christian who led his team in rushing and touchdowns last season as a junior.
I can’t wait for this summer to see more new faces on rosters when the transfer game gets in full swing.
