Football: Poly misses field goal

Long Beach Poly had a great opportunity to go ahead after a four-yard punt by Lakewood that appeared to be partially blocked, giving the Jackrabbits the ball on the Lancers’ 15-yard line.

But Poly couldn’t move the ball and missed a 29-yard field goal. Lakewood now takes over at the start of the second quarter leading, 3-0.
