I’m not a big fan of using cliches, and rarely do so, but I’ve got to make an exception this one time: Sometimes the ball just bounces your way. And make no mistake, St. Bonaventure is happy the pigskin caromed its way early on during Friday’s Northern Division title game against host Moorpark.
On the Seraphs’ second possession, Logan Meyer fired a pass to JB Dock, only to have the ball ricocheted off the receiver’s helmet and into the arms of Tieler Souza, who caught the ball in stride and raced 80 yards for a touchdown to give St. Bonaventure a 7-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
