Football: Carson increases lead to 10-0 over Locke

Juan Sanchez kicked a 43-yard field goal to increase Carson’s lead to 10-0 over Locke with 10:27 left in the second quarter of tonight’s City Section Division I quarterfinal.

Locke went three-and-out and on the ensuing possession and Carson was threatening to score again but Tony Bell intercepted a pass by Carson quarterback Justin Alo at the 5-yard line.

The Saints have a first down at their own 40-yard line with five minutes left in the first half.
