Former Santa Ana Mater Dei infielder Tyler Rahmatulla is a big reason UCLA is 25-3 overall. Starting at second base, the sophomore is batting .410 with a team-leading 26 runs batted in.
He’s also eight for 13 on stolen bases.
Oregon comes to town this weekend to play UCLA in a three-game series and is loaded with former local high school standouts. KC Serna from Ventura St. Bonaventure is batting .331. Danny Pulfer from Cypress is hitting .325.
