Junior third baseman Rouric Bridgewater of Pomona Diamond Ranch has stamped himself as one of the top professional prospects for 2011.
He batted .580 with 41 RBIs and 10 home runs this past season for a 14-12 team. Then, this past weekend at the Compton Urban Youth Academy, he was a standout in an all-star competition matching top players from the class of 2011.
In the championship game, he went three for three and smashed a home run over the center-field fence using a wood bat.
He’s 6 feet 2 and was ripping the ball in batting practice, according to West Hills Chaminade Coach Frank Mutz.
