A moratorium on mobile home park rent increases has been lifted by the San Dimas City Council. The freeze, imposed in November, was a temporary solution to tenant demands that the city adopt a rent control ordinance. Lease agreements between the city’s estimated 3,000 mobile home park residents and five park owners were reached after months of negotiations in which City Manager Robert Poff and Mayor Donald Haefer participated, City Clerk Pamela Jackson said. The eight-point agreement, adopted by each park owner, calls for a minimum 59-month lease and annual increases between 5% and 8%.
