A tentative agreement was reached on a new contract for Yale University’s 1,000 blue-collar workers, averting a strike that white-collar workers had vowed to join. Negotiators gave no details on the pact. Labor troubles have disrupted campus life since Sept. 26 when Local 34, representing white-collar workers, began a 10-week strike. Members of Local 34 ratified a new contract last week.
