CELLIST AT USC WINS $1,250 AWARD

Cellist Joanna Picker, a 20-year-old student at USC, won first place in the Rotary Young Artist Awards regional auditions held in Fresno on Sunday.
Picker, who is studying with Eleonore Schoenfeld, was awarded $1,250 and the right to perform with the Fresno Philharmonic on March 28 and 29.
