J. Gary Dennis Takes Helm of Builders’ Unit

J. Gary Dennis has become the first third-generation president of the San Diego chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America. His grandfather, V. R. Dennis, was president in 1934 and 1950 and his father, Howard C. Dennis, was president in 1957.
Dennis, of V. R. Dennis Construction Co., said at installation ceremonies when he succeeded George H. Line, that the key objectives of his term will be to create stability in the construction industry and open up new opportunities for individual members.
Serving with him are Morley R. Golden, vice president, and Line, secretary-treasurer. New directors are Monty Chilcote, Harold Kvaas, Jim LaMantia and John Hannum.
