Didn’t Offer $100, Moses Says
Olympic gold medalist Edwin Moses proclaimed his innocence today, testifying that he did not offer $100 to an undercover police woman for two sex acts.
Moses, who said he was “very surprised” at the encounter, testified at his trial in Los Angeles Municipal Court that Officer Susan Gonzales approached his Mercedes-Benz and began talking about sex with him while he waited at a red light at a Hollywood street corner. Moses said he talked to her because “people come up to me all the time and want to talk to me.” He said he had no intention of having sex with the woman and drove off when she told him to turn right at the corner and wait for her.
