JC ROUNDUP : Trade Tech Rolls Past L.A. Valley

Los Angeles Trade Tech College came back from an 11-point second-half deficit to beat Los Angeles Valley College, 73-63, at Trade Tech Wednesday night.
The Beavers, 4-3 in the Mountain Valley Conference and 14-8 overall, are tied with Antelope Valley for third place in the conference with three games remaining.
Valley, which led at halftime, 35-31, saw its lead evaporate after commiting 15 turnovers in the second half.
Trade Tech took the lead with 5:42 left after scoring six unanswered points. Perry Gilmer iced the game for the Beavers by hitting six consecutive free throws in the final minute.
Trade Tech’s Terrel Johnson led all scorers with 21 points while Carl Pitts and Jeff Nolan added 17 and 13, respectively.
For the second game in the row, the Monarchs were led by Jesse Garner, who had 18 points. Larry Middleton finished with 16 and Cary Lewis had 13.
