A federal judge deferred an Otis case decision.

U.S. District Judge Jim Carrigan said in Denver that he would decide later on whether to accept a plea-bargaining agreement for Otis Elevator Co. and a former Otis manager after reviewing the pre-sentence report, which is expected to take three to four weeks to complete. A federal grand jury reported Feb. 14 that it had indicted Otis and Daniel G. Landry, a former manager for Otis’ transportation technological division, on charges of submitting more than $600,000 in fraudulent bills to the federal government.
