Cummings Leads Win by Long Beach Women

Kirsten Cummings came off the bench to score 24 points and pull down 16 rebounds to lead the Cal State Long Beach women’s basketball team to a 88-76 victory over Arizona State Thursday night at Long Beach.
Jackie White added 23 for the 49ers (20-2 overall and 9-1 in the Western Collegiate Athletic Assn.). Long Beach expanded its conference lead to two games over USC.
Arizona State (10-13 and 2-8) was led by Beckie Smatana with 24 points.
