Tennis Roundup : Rosewall Defeats Anderson in Legends Match, 6-1,6-2

SAN DIEGO — Ken Rosewall defeated Mal Anderson, 6-1, 6-2, in a first round singles match on Friday in a Legends of Tennis benefit at Morley Field.
Gene Scott will play Rod Laver in a singles match at 1 today. Rosewall will play today’s winner on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Tournament proceeds will be used to fund scholarships for the children of San Diego police officers who were killed while on duty.
Besides the singles tournament, there will be exhibition doubles matches featuring Rosewall, Laver, Anderson and Scott.
