Ventura Sheraton Hotel Scheduled for ’86 Finish

Construction has started on the $22.5-million, 285-room Sheraton Ventura Hotel at Harbor Boulevard and Monmouth Way in Ventura. Completion is scheduled for March, 1986, on what is reportedly the largest private development in the city.

A development of Tiverton Properties, the hotel, adjacent to the Ventura (101) Freeway, was designed by McCune, Gerwin & Partners Inc., Los Angeles and Ventura. The firm is also the landscape designer, interior designer and construction manager.

Amenities include a 6,000-square-foot grand ballroom, meeting rooms, concierge services, restaurants and cocktail lounges and a courtyard landscaped with lakes and streams and lawn areas for parties.
