An FBI special agent was indicted by a grand jury in Alameda County on two counts of child molestation involving his 8-year-old son and 20-month-old daughter. Harvey Yarbrough, 38, of Newark is scheduled to be arraigned on two counts on March 11 in Alameda County Superior Court. The prosecutor said the case surfaced after the agent’s son told his mother about acts that allegedly occurred in the last year. The mother notified a physician, who called Newark police. Yarbrough, a 14-year FBI veteran who is assigned to the agency’s San Francisco office but works out of San Jose, was placed on administrative leave with pay after the indictment was handed down.
