Chapman Men Beat Cal Poly Pomona

Chapman College defeated Cal Poly Pomona, 8-1, in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. men’s tennis match Thursday at Chapman. John Soldat defeated Dave Katz in No. 2 singles for the Panthers, 6-2, 6-0, and in No. 1 doubles, the Panthers’ Troy Turnbull and Terry Davis defeated Katz and Mike Yeoman, 6-1, 6-2.
Chapman (6-5 overall, 3-0 in conference), ranked second in the nation in Division 2, plays host to third-ranked Cal Poly San Luis Obispo at 10 a.m. Sunday.
