Brea Girls Seek 29th Straight Win

The top-seeded Brea-Olinda High School girls basketball team will go for its 29th consecutive victory tonight when it plays Riverside Poly in the Southern Section 3-A semifinals at Valencia High. The Wildcats’ last lost was to Indio a year ago in the 2-A final.
In the other 3-A semifinal, Foothill, featuring sisters Jennifer and Jill Osur, will play Palmdale at Antelope Valley High. The Knights (26-3) defeated Woodbridge on Saturday.
In 2-A action, top-seeded La Quinta will meet Cajon at Los Amigos High. The Aztecs (24-4) escaped with a 51-48 overtime win over Lompoc in the quarterfinals. Cajon eliminated defending-champion Indio.
