Maurice J. DeWald, 44, a managing partner at the Newport Beach office of Peat Marwick Mitchell and Co., has been appointed managing partner of the large accounting firm’s Chicago office. DeWald succeeds Lee W. Jennings, 56, who will take early retirement on June 30.

Laser Precision Corp. of Irvine has announced the election of three venture capitalists and management consultants to fill vacancies on its eight-member board of directors. Elected were: David M. Goodman, a founding shareholder, venture capitalist and management consultant to various companies.; Stanley W. Legro, a principal of a Washington, D.C.-based investment banking and venture capital firm and a former assistant adminstrator for enforcement at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from 1975-77; and C. Fredrick Sehnert, president of a Solana Beach, Calif.-based management firm.
