‘JUNGLE GIRL’
USA, 1984, 100 minutes 2:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Richard Myer (director of “37-73,” “Akron”) is an experimental film maker whose dream and memory films are as haunting and original as Cocteau. It helps to know the Myer stock company, mostly family members, but even if you don’t this homage to the brave Francis Gifford, Republic serial star, is absorbing, as much for its backstage look at Hollywood as for its brilliant dream sequences.
RECOMMENDED.
