NCAA Roundup : Louisiana Tech Rolls Up Easy Win Over Illinois State, 81-57

Tori Harrison had 18 points and 14 rebounds as fourth-ranked Louisiana Tech stifled Illinois State’s inside game in an 81-57 victory at Ruston, La., in the first round of the women’s NCAA Midwest Regional.
Tech (28-3) held center Marla Maupin, averaging 17.7 points and 10.9 rebounds for Illinois State (23-6), to four points and two rebounds.
Mississippi 81, So. Mississippi 68--Jennifer Gillom had 30 points and 10 rebounds to lead the sixth-ranked Lady Rebels (28-2) to victory over the Lady Eagles (21-9) in a Mideast Regional game at Oxford, Miss.
N.C. State 67, St. Joseph’s 63--Robin Mayo’s layup with 28 seconds left gave the 12th-ranked Lady Wolfpack (25-5) a victory over the 17th-rated Lady Hawks (25-5) in an East Regional game at Raleigh, N.C.
