A 55-year-old man crossing a street in downtown Anaheim was struck and killed by a hit-and-run motorist Sunday night, authorities said.
Pascual Rojas of Anaheim was found dead in the crosswalk at Broadway and Bush Street shortly after 10 p.m., police said.
Traffic Sgt. Richard Zschoche said Rojas was apparently walking north on Bush Street across Broadway when a car sped westbound through the crosswalk, striking and killing him almost instantly.
Police on Monday were seeking help in locating the car, described as a dark metallic brown late model Ford. Zschoche said the impact was believed to have damaged the car’s left front fender.
