Santa Ana : City Will Rise to Occasion of White House Egg Roll
- Share via
The city will unveil a giant balloon in presidential fashion next Monday when the 65-foot-high creation debuts on the South Lawn of the White House during the annual President’s Easter Egg Roll.
The multicolored balloon, a giant-sized jack-in-the-box, won’t premiere in Santa Ana until December, when big balloons fill the sky for the Toys on Parade celebration.
According to Santa Ana Mayor Daniel E. Griset, all of Santa Ana is “excited and honored” to be a part of the Easter Egg Roll.
President and Mrs. Reagan are the event’s official hosts. Last year, under rainy skies, 30,000 people attended the egg roll. In an amusing twist, adults are required to be accompanied by a child to be admitted.
