A 23-year-old Chatsworth man was sentenced Monday to six years in state prison for molesting a 6-year-old girl.
Anthony G. Williams, who moved to California from Alabama nine months ago, last month pleaded guilty in San Fernando Superior Court to one count of child molestation in connection with the Dec. 27 incident in the victim’s Sylmar home.
According to a probation report, Williams told authorities he had gone to the girl’s house that evening on the suggestion of the girl’s father, who said his ex-wife--the girl’s mother--would have sex with Williams. After the woman fell asleep, Williams went into the girl’s bedroom to molest her because he “wanted a pure woman,” the report said.
The girl told her 8-year-old brother about the incident after Williams left the room, and the boy “stood guard” over her the rest of the night, the report said.
The girl’s mother reported the molestation to police the next day, the report said.
