A San Diego man died early Friday morning after being shot in what police believe was a domestic dispute. Charles Underwood, 25, was pronounced dead at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla at 1:17 a.m. Friday, after being shot once in the chest. Two hours earlier, a police spokesman said, the wounded Underwood was found lying in the hallway of his mother’s house in the 7100 block of Whipple Avenue in University City. Police arrested Mike Dixon, 44, in connection with the shooting. Dixon also lives at the Whipple Avenue house.
