Brea police have identified a man killed Friday night in a head-on collision on Carbon Canyon Road as Edward John Lepak, 35, of Chino.
Lepak’s auto collided with another driven by Martin Haag, 17, of Fullerton. Police said Saturday that Lepak’s car had veered into the opposing lane. Haag also was killed, and four young passengers in his car were injured. Authorities had withheld Lepak’s name pending notification of his family.
Meanwhile, in Stanton, police said Julie Sanginento, 20, of Westminster, died Sunday of injuries she suffered in an April 14 traffic accident at Beach and Garden Grove boulevards. Sanginento died in Fountain Valley Community Hospital, where she had been under intensive care for skull and leg fractures and a ruptured spleen, police and coroner’s spokesmen said.
The driver of the car that struck Sanginento’s car was arrested on felony drunk driving charges, Stanton police Lt. David Bunts said.
