WASHINGTON — The United States has proposed selling another 94 late-model tanks to Egypt, the Pentagon said Friday.
The sale of the M-60A3 tanks, at a cost of $165 million, would bring to 753 the number of U.S. tanks purchased by Egypt since March, 1980, as part of the upgrading of its armed forces.
Congress must approve the sale within 30 days.
