Ground Broken for Carlsbad Time-Shares

Ground has been broken for Tamarack Beach Resort, a $34-million time-share development by Wave Crest II Ltd. in Carlsbad. The project, which will feature 54 units, a hotel, recreational facilities and a restaurant, is scheduled for completion early next year.
Condominiums will be sold on a weekly basis and, depending on season purchased, will range between $8,000 and $12,000. The resort is being built on Carlsbad Boulevard, across the street from the state beach, between Pine and Walnut avenues.
