Jones’ Pretrial Hearing Continued to June 17

The pretrial hearing for Gordon Jones, the Los Angeles Herald Examiner’s horse racing writer and handicapper who was charged with bookmaking, has been continued to June 17 in Santa Anita Municipal Court.
Jones was arrested near Santa Anita Feb. 24 for allegedly taking bets to the track from a handicapping seminar he was conducting.
