2 Americans Arrested in Colombia Pot Raid

BOGOTA, Colombia — Two Americans, identified only as Michael Palmer and Kenneth Jayson, were arrested when 15 tons of marijuana was seized as it was about to be loaded aboard a light aircraft in Colombia’s Cesar region, police said Wednesday.
In another raid, 2,700 pounds of pure cocaine was found. This was the biggest drug haul of the year. A total of 22 tons of the illegal drug was seized last year in Colombia, which accounts for 75% of the cocaine sold in the United States.
