Sockers Crow Named MISL’s Top Defender

SAN DIEGO — Kevin Crow of the Sockers has been named the Defensive Player of the Year in the Major Indoor Soccer League.
Crow, a San Diego State alumnus, led the MISL in blocked shots with 113. He recorded a league high of nine blocked shots in a game on March 3 against Kansas City.
In the Sockers’ 48-game regular season, Crow was named Defensive Star of the Game 10 times. He was also the league’s Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending March 17.
Crow set a league record with 34 blocked shots in the playoffs as the Sockers won their fourth straight indoor championship.
