I was interested in reading your editorial (May 8) in which you described the plight of the newly franchised L.A. Cab Co.

My office has received a number of calls in support of the company and some of the sentiments shared with me are as follows: “The drivers are courteous and kind.” “They know the area.” “They help with the groceries.” “They treat you with dignity.”

I applaud the L.A. Cab Co. for offering the elderly in my district, not only excellent transportation services, but sensitivity to their feelings as well.
