Jet Has Unscheduled Landing

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An Eastern Airlines flight from New York to Los Angeles made an unscheduled landing early today at Kansas City International Airport because of an engine fire warning.
No injuries were reported when the twin-engine Boeing 757 carrying 121 people landed safely about 1 a.m., airport officials said. Flight 409 originated in New York bound for Philadelphia, Los Angeles and San Diego.
