A South Dakota man pleaded no contest in Fresno federal court to threatening to kill President Reagan. The Secret Service charged that Alfred Marvin Walker, 52, of Aberdeen, S.D., told a Kern County sheriff’s deputy last Dec. 6 in Bakersfield that he planned to kill Reagan “with (his) own hands.” Walker told authorities he was on his way to Los Angeles to kill the President, but Reagan was in Washington at the time. U.S. District Judge M. D. Crocker set sentencing for July 15.
