Robertson Heads Card at Marriott

Hedgemon Robertson of Huntington Beach, California’s top-ranked welterweight, will face Eddie Nuno of Pomona in a 10-round main tonight at the Irvine Marriott Hotel.

Robertson is 20-5-1 with 18 knockouts. Nuno is 18-6.

In another 10-round main, Santa Ana’s Georgie Garcia (20-3-1) will box Japan’s No. 1 super bantamweight, Tadashi Maruo (17-2-1) at 121 pounds.

Tonight’s seven-bout card, which begins a 8 o’clock, also features Olympian Robert Shannon of Edmonds, Wash., who will face Ralph Gutierrez of Los Angeles in a six-round fight at 122 pounds.
