Local News in Brief : Burbank OKs Budget With Few Added Expenditures
- Share via
The Burbank City Council on Tuesday formally approved a $204-million budget for the coming fiscal year.
The operating part of the budget is 9.4% higher than the current one, but Steven Helvey, Burbank’s chief financial officer, said it for the most part reflects no change in city spending. The only new expenditures in the budget, he said, are for seven new city staff positions and for library books.
The council approved the budget after a week of study sessions to acquaint new council members with the budgets of various city agencies.
