Wee Lavaliere, ridden by Chris McCarron, won her second race in as many starts Wednesday when she captured the $51,300 feature race for 2-year-old fillies at Hollywood Park.
Wee Lavaliere was three-quarters of a length in front of An Empress at the finish, but a stewards’ inquiry delayed the posting of the official results.
After reviewing the stretch drive, the stewards ruled that An Empress had impeded horses and set her down from second to fifth.
Wee Lavaliere was clocked in 1:04 4/5 in the 5 1/2-furlong event.
The wagering favorite, Wee Lavaliere paid $4.40, $3 and $2.60. She’s the Mint, who finished 2 3/4 lengths back of An Empress but was moved up to second with the disqualification, returned $3.80 and $3.20.
