CBS responded to Turner’s FCC application.

In a filing with the Federal Communications Commission, CBS reiterated its request for an FCC hearing on Ted Turner’s takeover offer--a move that would considerably delay the bid--and argued that Turner has changed his position on several issues that would come before the regulators. Among these, the network said, is Turner’s contention that his Turner Broadcasting System is “in no way” a competitor of CBS, which CBS says contradicts his earlier position.
