A pedestrian crossing southbound Interstate 805 was killed after being struck by a motorcycle Friday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported. Francisco Gonzalez, 44, a Mexican citizen, was attempting to cross the freeway at the junction with California 117 on Otay Mesa when the accident occurred. A CHP spokesman said Gonzalez died instantly. The driver of the motorcycle, German Hernandez, 38, of San Ysidro, was not cited.
