It’s hard for me to believe that The Times editors wouldn’t have more common sense and diplomacy than to publish such an article as written by Michael Carlton. How could you be so unthinking to publish a column by a party boy-lounge lizard that Carlton must be? He should stay home in his ivory tower and never venture out into the big, bad, dirty world. . . . Thanks at least for Elizabeth Hansen’s article. She wrote it like it is. Your contrast went much too far.
