Once again, we have the idiotic spectacle of a first string, noted music critic--Martin Bernheimer--making a jackass of himself.

What business does he, a devotee of Bayreuth, Covent Garden and the Met, have covering a “Pops” concert by Pavarotti in a Sports Arena and trying to equate it with a real concert or opera experience?

It is “Pops,” for the masses, not for the cognoscenti. Accept it for what it is.
