Sir James Goldsmith revealed in a filing with the SEC that he has increased his holdings in Crown Zellerbach to 35.6% of the company’s outstanding shares from 26%. Goldsmith and his General Oriental Securities firm said they control 9.75 million shares of the paper company. The Anglo-French financier said he is considering seeking control of the company.
