In a major expansion of the hotel, restaurant and travel management department at Cal Poly Pomona, the university has announced plans to build a Center for Hospitality Management. The $3-million, 18,000-square-foot structure will be financed with private funds and house a full-service restaurant, demonstration kitchen, wine and spirits library, beverage management laboratory and classroom and office facilities.
The new center will allow the hotel, restaurant and travel management department to increase its enrollment from 400 to 600 full-time students per quarter.
