County supervisors have awarded a $1.5-million contract to Security Paving Co. to rebuild Mission Road from the western city limits of Alhambra to a point 800 feet east of Fremont Avenue. Work is to begin in 60 days and should be completed in four months, according to officials. The city and county plan to improve another section of Mission Road, between Fremont and Atlantic avenues, next spring.
